The elite 4-time State Wrestling Champions list has only 30 names and the first year of high school wrestling in Wyoming was back in 1947. Broc Fletcher etched his name into history with a pin over Westen Einest of Laramie in the 4A 138-pound final on Saturday in Casper for state title #4. He won the match at the :17 mark and it's been quite the journey for Fletcher this season.

He suffered an injury in the semi-finals of the Ron Thon Tournament in Riverton which forced him out of the championship match. Fletcher showed a lot of fortitude just to get through his semi-final match over Ashton Leegaard of Thunder Basin and win it! He went 43-2 this season and was 46-2 in his junior year when he won the 4A 132-pound crown over Keegan Rager of Sheridan.

Fletcher rang up 41 wins with 11 losses in his sophomore year and took home the 4A 120-pound championship with a victory over Kolten Powers of Sheridan. He started his winning ways as a freshman by winning taking the top of the podium in the 4A 106-pound weight class, with a pin over Natrona's Kaden Orr to wrap up the year 20-2.

Needless to say, he has been a tough customer on the mat and we caught up with him after his title match on Saturday night in Casper.
