The Rocky Mountain boys basketball team had a huge triple threat on offense this past season with 3 guys who averaged in double figures. Ethan Price was an all-state pick and averaged 15 points a game. The Grizzlies had another all-state selection in Taylor Winland and he contributed 13 points game. Throw in Zach Simmons who had 11 a game and that's why this team went 20-7 on the year.  At the state tournament in Casper, Rocky Mountain won their quarterfinal round game over Glenrock 61-46 with Price and Winland netting 15 apiece. Simmons and Jess Wambeke had 14 each. In the 2A semi-finals, Rocky had a tough time with Pine Bluffs losing 58-45. The Grizz were just 2-14 from 3 point land and got 16 points from Winland. Rocky ended the season on a high note thanks to a 61-54 win over Big Horn to take 3rd place. The Grizzlies had 9, 3 pointers in the game with Price leading the way with 21 points. Winland had 13, Wambeke 12 and Tyler Banks had 10. Next season, the team will need to replace Price but Winland, Simmons, and Wambeke will all be juniors. So the future is bright for this program.
