Shea Opdahl of KW Signs with Davenport University for Swimming

Kelly Walsh swimmer Shea Opdahl will have a lot to remember about her senior season. Her Trojan team won the 4A State Championship for the very first time and needed every point they could get as just 13 points separated the top 4 squads.

Individually Opdahl contributed 22 points to her team as she placed 5th in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 25.35 and also took 5th in the 100 freestyle in 55.91. She also swam on KW's state championship 200 freestyle relay and that added 32 points to the Trojan total. That relay team also broke the school record in that state event.

In her junior season, Opdahl also swam on the KW 200 free relay and that team placed 2nd at the State Championships. She was 4th in the "B" final of the 100 free at the 2022 State Meet and just missed making the finals of the 50 free.

Davenport University is a Division II school in Grand Rapids Michigan.
