Sheridan Football Postgame Remarks

Sheridan has won the last 2 4A state championships in football and 3 of the last 4. The Broncs have gotten the most of their personnel plus Sheridan over the last few years has put some very gifted athletes on the field. Dane Steel is this year's edition in the gifted athlete category as he had 2 rushing touchdowns, a receiving TD, a kickoff return for a touchdown, and an interception on defense in their 44-37 win over Cheyenne East on Friday.

East hasn't seen the speed and agility that Steel has which made him tough to contain. Sheridan also has a sizable offensive line ( and defensive line) so that is a factor in their success. Alex Haswell plays on both the O-Line and D-Line and certainly would have attracted the attention of Wyoming Cowboy Head Coach Craig Bohl who was at the game on Friday.

We talked with Steel and Haswell about their big win and these guys just know how to win.
