Sheridan has won three consecutive state champions in 4A football plus they have a 31-game winning streak. The Broncs beat Cheyenne East 31-3 in the 2023 title game in Laramie and put the game away in the 2nd half with some solid football on both offense and defense.

Dane Steel has enjoyed a Player of the Year season and on Saturday, he scored in a 63-yard catch and run to give the Broncs the lead for good. He ended up with 7 catches for 131 yards and ran the ball 7 times for 37 yards. He also had an interception on defense and that's the kind of productivity that he has provided Sheridan this season.

Another guy who made a name for himself on the Sheridan offense is Terran Grooms. He was tough to bring down late in the game from the running back spot and scored on a 16-yard touchdown in the 4th quarter to put the game away. Grooms finished with 73 yards rushing on 11 carries and has been stellar this season for a team that went 12-0.

We had a chance to chat with Steel and Grooms after their 4A championship win and yes, they were happy campers!
