Sheridan soccer player Avery McMullen will advance her career on the pitch as she has signed on with Colorado State-Pueblo. She was named All-Conference in 4A as a midfielder in the 2024 season with 3 goals and 6 assists in her junior season McMullen took 29 shots with 16 on goal as the Broncs went 7-7-1 this past season. She's been a 2-year starter for the Sheridan program.

McMullen has played with the 307 Select Club team. This summer, she competed in the National Presidents Cup Tournament in the 17-U division and the Far West Presidents Cup Tournament put on by US Youth Soccer.

McMullen also has competed in swimming at Sheridan High School and played on the Broncs 4A State Championship basketball team in 2023-24. She tossed in 17 points in the 4A title game vs. Campbell County, going 5-6 from the 3-point line.

CSU-Pueblo is a Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
