Sheridan's Addie Pendergast has elite-level ability in track and field and put that on display on Friday in Casper at the Wyoming Track Classic. She ran 54.25 to win the 400 meters which was a meet record and the fastest time in the state so far this season. Already this year, Pendergast ran 23.58 in the 200 which was a better time than the present 4A state record in that event.

Pendergast did not compete in last year's State Meet after transferring from Tongue River so she wants to make up for lost time. Back in 2021 as a freshman at Tongue River, she won the 2A State Championship in the 100, 200, and 800-meter events.

We had a chance to talk to the junior while she was in Casper and it was just another day at the track for this talented young lady.
