Kelly Walsh hosted Natrona on the soccer pitch on Tuesday night and you have to get those matches in while the weather is favorable. The Kelly Walsh girls are the defending 4A State Champions and return plenty of talent for the 2024 season. Natrona finished 4th at the regional tournament and qualified for the 2023 State Tournament. They certainly have enough returning skill players to try to improve on that finish last year.

After a scoreless first half, Kelly Walsh found the net thanks to returning All-State player Peyton Hill in the 41st minute and the Trojans followed that up with a goal in the 45th minute from Aspen Scherck to increase the Trojan lead, Natrona got back into the match as Brooke Travers scored in the 52nd minute to close the gap to 2-1. Hill recorded her 2nd goal of the match 4 minutes later and Travers scored her 2nd goal of the night in the 69th minute. That's the way it stayed as KW beat NC 3-2 so the Trojans are 1-1-2 on the young season and the Fillies are 0-2-2

It was a tightly marked boys match and Kelly Walsh received a pair of goals from sophomore Ethan Leslie in the 4th and 21st minutes. Natrona got on the board in the 65th minute as Carlos Biosca-Aquirre made it 2-1 but that would be as close as the Mustangs would get, falling to the Trojans 2-1

KW is 2-2 on the season while NC is 0-2-1. Both schools qualified for last year's 4A State Tournament with Kelly Walsh taking 4th and Natrona going 0-2. The Casper schools will be at home Friday and Saturday to host Star Valley and Jackson.

We have a few images to share from the action on Tuesday at the Kelly Walsh Soccer Complex. They can be found in our gallery below. Enjoy!
