Two soccer players from Casper-Kelly Walsh will stay close to home as they have committed to the Casper College programs. Bethany Strand played a huge role for the Lady Trojans of Kelly Walsh as they marched to the 4A State Championship back in May. She played the midfield spot and was an all-state selection at that position. She could control the tempo on offense and also sets the tone defensively. In addition to her sharp skills on the pitch. Strand also competes on the indoor track circuit. At the 4A State Meet in March. her 1600 sprint medley team finished 4th and the 4x800 took 6th. Individually, she placed 8th in the 800. Strand also ran cross country finishing 27th at the 4A State Meet as a senior and 26th as a junior.

Britton Butler will be headed to Casper College and he was an all-state selection in the midfield as well. He found the net 11 times this past season in 16 matches including a 3-goal match against Star Valley. He also tallied 8 assists in his junior year with 8 goals and 4 assists in his senior year. Butler also competed on the indoor track circuit as the KW boys 1600 medley relay team took 6th at the 4A State Meet.
