A new No. 1 in 4A girls’ soccer, no ties, and at least one change in each of the four divisions highlights the fourth WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls. Defending 4A champion Kelly Walsh moved back to the top of the girls’ poll. That class also had two teams re-enter the rankings. After both the girls’ and boys’ polls in 3A featured a tie two weeks ago, those were broken in this one.

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER RANKINGS WEEK 5 2024

Due to fewer matches during the final week of March, there were no new rankings last week. There was at least one change in all four divisions.

The Trojans are back at No. 1 in 4A girls’ soccer. They received ten of the 14 first-place votes after a head-to-head victory over Jackson last weekend in Casper. The Broncs dropped one spot to second. Laramie held in third and earned a vote in all five positions. Natrona County and Campbell County rejoined the rankings in fourth and fifth, respectively. Seven other teams earned a vote in the poll.

In 3A girls, Cody was a unanimous pick for No. 1 again. The Fillies got all 14 first-place votes. Worland held onto second. Green River moved up to third despite not playing a match last week. Powell and Douglas both fell one spot each. The Panthers were fourth, and the Bearcats were fifth.

Worland continued its hold on No. 1 in 3A boys’ soccer. The Warriors garnered 11 of the 13 first-place votes. Torrington and Cody remained second and third. The Blazers will host top-ranked Worland this weekend. Powell moved from a tie for fifth to fourth. Green River slid one position to fifth.

The No. 1 team in 4A boys’ soccer was Cheyenne Central again. The Indians received eight of the 13 first-place votes. Kelly Walsh was the big mover, as the Trojans climbed two spots after a victory versus Jackson last weekend. That pushed the Broncs down to third, and Thunder Basin fell to fourth. Sheridan held onto fifth by six points in the voting.
