Bailey Wright of Douglas Will Continue Her Soccer Career

Douglas senior Bailey Wright has signed to play soccer at Northwest College in Powell. Wright has been a two-time all-state and three-time all-conference selection. In 2024, she was the 3A East Conference Player of the Year. Wright holds school records at DHS for goals in a game, a season, and a career.

Bailey has led the Bearcats to a 6-2 start in the 2025 season. They are 4-0 and ranked third in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Girls’ Soccer Poll. She has scored 14 goals and added six assists for Douglas this spring. Both marks lead the 3A East and are third and tied for fourth in Class 3A, respectively.

Last year, Wright was second in the state in goals, with 29. She added 10 assists and helped the Bearcats to a 12-5 overall record and the 3A East Conference championship at 9-1. Douglas went 1-2 at the 3A state championships.

In 2023, Wright had 21 goals and five assists for the Bearcats, who won the 3A consolation trophy at the state tournament. Douglas was 12-3 that season and 8-2 in the East Conference.

Bailey has also played golf and basketball at DHS. She earned all-state honors in both.

Northwest College, in Powell, WY, competes at the NJCAA Division I level and is in Region IX. The Trappers went 11-4-2 in the 2024 season.
