Star Valley 3A Football Championship Postgame Remarks

Star Valley has been the 3A powerhouse in football lately with 3 straight titles after a 20-7 win over Cody on Friday in Laramie. The Braves ran the table this season at 12-0 and it's quite an accomplishment to beat Cody twice in the same season. Star Valley played lights out on defense in the title game, holding the Broncs to 2-10 on 3rd down. Riley Erickson was part of that defensive army with 6 tackles and a sack.

Quarterback Smith McClure managed the offense with 72 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns and was 9-14 for 97 yards throwing the football. He got serious help in the running game from Grant Thomson who picked up 78 yards on the ground and a TD.
