The State Athletics Association board of directors convene Tuesday and Wednesday, February 7th and 8th in Casper.

One of the biggest items of discussion will be 3A state basketball. As it stands right now, Casper College has a good chance of hosting the region 9 Women's Tournament that would directly coincide with the big school state weekend.

Commissioner  Ron Laird on the hardest part of the situation right now.

If the Lady Thunderbirds win their sub-region and host the big tournament, Laird outlines the solution.

There will be a lot more discussion in the next two days.

Other topics will be schools fielding only one team at each level after freshman, golf extending their spring portion,  and 1A, 2A and 3A football is asking for a few earlier days of practice to get all 10 required workouts in before zero week.
