Gillette’s CJ Gaskins Furthers Swim Career at Iowa Central

Campbell County senior CJ Gaskins signed last month to swim at Iowa Central Community College. Gaskins is a three-time qualifier for the state championships. He earned his first all-state honor in the 2024 season as part of the Camels’ title-winning 200-medley relay team. Their time was 1:40.27. CJ has already qualified for this year's state championship swim meet in February.

Gaskins also placed fourth in the 100-breaststroke race at 1:03.54. He also swam on the runner-up 400-freestyle relay and was in the consolation final of the 100-freestyle race.

Early in his senior season (2024-25), Gaskins has top 15 times in the 100-breaststroke race at 1:09.44 and the 200 IM race at 2:17.24. He swam a leg on Campbell County’s 200-freestyle relay, which has the fastest time in 4A this season at 1:30.37, the 200-medley relay, which has the fastest time in 4A at 1:38.53, and second-fastest 400-freestyle relay team.

Iowa Central Community College is in Fort Dodge, IA. The Tritons compete at the NJCAA level and are members of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.
