The Burns volleyball team enjoyed an exceptional two-year run in 2A with a state championship in 2022 and a 2nd place finish in 2023. The Broncs had a remarkable group of players and one of them, Tehya Gallegos will continue her career at Miles City Community College in Montana.

Gallegos earned All-State status in 2023 despite missing a portion of the season with a stress fracture in her ankle. When she was on the floor, she was a reliable setter with 410 assists and 173 digs. Gallegos also turned in 66 kills and 37 aces for the season and was particularly effective at the State Tournament with 72 assists and 48 digs.

She was an All-Conference selection in 2022 as Burns defeated Big Horn for the 2A State championship. Gallegos accumulated 763 assists in her junior season and 256 digs. Plus she had 55 aces and 68 kills.

Miles City is a junior college institution that competes in the Mon-Dak Conference. The Pioneers were 12-12 in volleyball this past season.
