Torrington won a game they needed to have in the 2A football classification with a 22-0 victory over Upton-Sundance on Friday night. The Blazers are 3-5 and got three touchdowns from quarterback Bryce Hager and the defense was superlative all night long. They produced a 4th quarter safety that was an exclamation point on the evening's performance.

The work continues for Torrington in the regular season finale against Newcastle. If the Blazers win, they're in the 2A playoffs as either the #3 or #4 seed. They'll be #3 if Big Horns beats Burns and # if Burns wins that game. However, if Torrington should lose to Newcastle the Blazers would be eliminated.

It's been a tough year for Upton-Sundance who will finish the regular season in Glenrock. The Patriots are 1-5 and will miss the playoffs for the first time since Upton and Sundance became a co-op team in 2012.

We have some photos to share with you from this contest in Torrington, compliments of Erin Hager. They can be found in our gallery below. Enjoy!
