The Upton boys had an enormous amount of talent in 2018-19 and that allowed the Cats to post 25 wins with just 2 defeats. At one point during the season, Upton reeled off 16 wins in a row and was the top-ranked defensive team in 1A. This team had a couple of all state selections in Clayton Louderback who averaged 19 points a game along with Dillion Barritt who threw in 15 a game. Jes Claycomb was also a double digit scoring with a dozen a game. In the State Tournament in Casper, The Bobcats started things out with a hammered a good Burlington team 76-33. Louderback had his average of 19 in that game with Claycomb and Jayden Caylor threw in 16 each. Upton was phenomenal from the field, shooting at a 60% clip. In the 1A semi-finals, the Bobcats shot 35% in a 72-58 loss to Encampment , going just 4-26 from the 3 point line. Louderback had 20 with Barritt and Caylor throwing in 13 each. Upton did rebound to take 3rd place at state with a 63-45 win over Cokeville as Louderback went wild for 27 points on 11-21 from the field. Looking ahead, the Bobcats lose a ton of their offense to graduation, namely Louderback and Barritt but do return Claycomb as a junior and Caylor as a senior.
