One of the more consistent prep golfers in Wyoming has been Brooklyn Materi of Upton. In a true model of consistency, she had 3-peated as the State Champion in 2A Girls golf and finished 2nd at state in her freshman year. All those accolades has earned a spot on the Dickinson State golf team in North Dakota.

Back in the fall, Materi was the runaway winner of the 2A Girls State Tournament in Wright by a whopping 20 strokes with rounds of 83 and 88. In her junior, Marteri win the 2A Championship in Thermopolis by 14 strokes as she carded rounds of 94-86. Her Bobcat team won the 2A titles in both 2022 and 2021. She won her first state championship as a sophomore by just 6 strokes in Kemmerer as she shot 88 and 91. Winning 3 state titles in a row in a demanding sport like golf is an enormous accomplishment and she won 28 of 37 tournaments in her career.

Materi also excelled on the basketball court as Upton won the 1A State Championship in 2023 as she earned all-state honors. Materi averaged 7 points and 3 rebounds per game and was 31-87 from the 3-point line. She was an all-conference selection in her junior year hitting 27 3's out of 58 attempts and also was selected all-conference in her sophomore year.
