It took a while but Wheatland finally played a home football game after 4 straight on the road and the Bulldogs made the most of their homecoming game with a 40-0 win over Glenrock on Friday in the 2A ranks. Wheatland absorbed 3 straight losses to begin the season to Mitchell, Torrington, and Big Horn but came back to beat Upton-Sundance and now the Herders to get to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

The star of the show for Wheatland was running back Waylon Milnes who chewed up the Glenrock defense to the tune of 213 yards on 31 carries with 3 touchdowns. That's a terrific performance when the Bulldogs needed it most.

It's been a supreme struggle for Glenrock this season at 0-5 but it's a new week as the Herders will host Newcastle. Wheatland will also be at home to take on Burns. We have some photos to share from ace-photographer Randy Bell, which can be found in our gallery below. Enjoy!
