Wheatland’s Kendall Schaffner Commits to EWC for Volleyball
Wheatland High School senior Kendall Schaffner is taking her talents to the next level after a recent pledge to Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington for volleyball.
Schaffner was a two-time all-state and all-conference selection for the Bulldogs. The senior helped Wheatland to a third-place finish at the 3A state volleyball championships last fall in Casper. The Bulldogs went 28-9 overall and 6-0 in conference quadrant matches during the 2022 season. They won the 3A East Regional and 3A Southeast Quadrant titles.
In 2022, Schaffner posted a team-high 258 kills and a .248 hitting percentage. She also led the Bulldogs with 623 digs and added 39 service aces and 17 blocks.
Kendall missed the 2021 season due to an injury.
As a sophomore, Schaffner helped Wheatland to a 15-10 record and an appearance at the 3A volleyball state tournament. She compiled 228 kills, 474 digs, and 43 service aces in the 2020 season.
Schaffner also played basketball during her sophomore year at WHS.
