in 3A football from Friday, Torrington played host to Worland in a game that featured 2 teams that we're desperate for a win. Worland came in 2-4 while Torrington was 1-5. After a scoreless first quarter, Worland broke through with a touchdown as Taylor Pierce reeled off a 24 yard run for a touchdown, so the warriors assumed a 7-0 lead and that's the way it stayed in that first half of play.
Worland took off on the 3rd quarter as Luke Mortimer dashed 65 yards for a TD to increase the lead to 14. Which was followed by a 27 yard scoring from Rudy Sanford, so after 3 quarters of play, the Warriors led 21-0
the team traded touchdowns in the 4th quarter. Sanford picked up his 2nd touchdown of the with a 23-yard gallop to the 2nd end zone. Then Torrington finally got on the board with a 1-yard plunge from the doorstep from Sam Firminhac. Worland goes on the road and beats Torrington 28-7 so they're 3-4 on the year and they'll be at home to meet lander this week. Torrington sits at 1-6 and the blazers will be at home on Friday to take on Rawlins.
