Hope Hager of Torrington Commits to Mid-Plains for Softball

Hope Hager of Torrington has been on the ground floor for building the Blazer softball program and will continue building her career at Mid-Plains College in Nebraska. Hager was an outfielder for Torrington this past season with 25 put-outs and just 5 errors. Her fielding percentage was .844

At the plate in her senior year, she hit .267 in 24 games with an on-base percentage of .353, and her on-base plus slugging percentage was .686. She appeared in 14 games as a junior at Torrington and played her first two seasons of high school softball at Cheyenne South. In addition to all that, Hager has valuable experience with the Torrington Thunder club team.

Mid-Plains is a junior college institution in North Platte, and the Knights were 8-23 in softball in 2025.
