A pair of Worland Warriors will remain teammates at the next level. On Wednesday, seniors Brock Douzenis and Kade Weber joined the Yellow Jackets football program.

Weber is a two-time all-state quarterback for the Warriors. He was recently named to the Casper Star Tribune’s Super 25 Third Team. Weber threw for 1,407 yards with 13 TDs and only two interceptions during his senior season last fall. He completed 66.1 percent of his passes and averaged 156.3 yards per game and 11.6 yards per completion. Weber added 255 yards and 5 TDs on the ground. He finished No. 5 in Class 3A in all-purpose yards per game at 184.8.

As a junior, Weber threw for 1,658 yards with 17 TDs and seven interceptions. He completed 70.1 percent of his passes and averaged 184.2 yards per game and 11.6 yards per completion. Weber was No. 2 in Class 3A in all-purpose yards per game during the 2021 season at 221.4.

Weber also plays soccer and basketball at Worland High School. He’s been the starting goalkeeper for the Warriors’ last two Class 3A boys’ soccer state championship teams.

Douzenis was a two-time all-state and three-time all-conference selection on the football field in his career at WHS. As a senior last fall, he caught 36 passes for 565 yards and six touchdowns. Douzenis added 31 rushes for 157 yards and three TDs. On defense, he had 40.5 tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss. Douzenis intercepted three passes, had a pass breakup, blocked a kick, and scored a defensive touchdown during the 2022 season.

In his junior year of 2021, Douzenis had 54 catches for 560 yards and four TDs. He added 25 carries for 77 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Defensively, Douzenis had 37 tackles, which included two tackles for loss. He recovered one fumble, had two pass breakups, and blocked one kick.

Douzenis is also an all-state basketball player for Worland and competes as a sprinter on the track team.

Both players helped the Warriors to an overall record of 4-5 in 2022 and an appearance in the Class 3A football playoffs.

Black Hills State University is in Spearfish, SD. The Yellow Jackets compete at the Division II level and are a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
