Wyoming 3A Boys State Track Day 1 [VIDEO]

The 3A Boys State Track Meet kicked off with a bang for Lander as they went 1-2 in the 3200 meter run. Kaleb Simonson took the tape in 10.04.53 with his teammate Sam Kistemann placing 2nd. Powell's Allen Merritt was 3rd. Also, on the track in 3A Boys, Lovell made a statement with a win in the 1600 medley. C.J. Lindsey, Jacob Grant, Tyler Nichols and Ezekiel Newman ran 3.37.39 as Douglas took 2nd and Buffalo 3rd. In the field events, Joseph Turnerm a sophomore from Lyman uncorked a throw of 164-8 to win the discus. Quinn Lindsey of Lovell was 2nd and Powell's Ryan Good was 3rd. In the team standings, Lander has the early lead with 24, Lovell is right behind with 21 and Powell 3rd with 15. Be sure and check out our short video.
