All Kelly Walsh had to do was finish the 4x800 relay and the 4A Boys state championship would be there on their home track in Casper. The Trojans took 6th in the final event of the meet which secured their 3rd state title in the last 4 years. KW went 5-6-7 in the 100 meter dash which was won by Wyatt Moore of Star Valley in 11.09. That clocking gave him best of the best honors. Moore backed that up with a win in the 200 with a time of 22.32 which was also best of the best. In that 200, Kelly Walsh went 2-4. Over in the 400, Dakota Merritt of Cheyenne East prevailed in 50.26 and he battled injuries for most of the year. Sheridan picked up some major points thanks to their outstanding hurdler Alec Riegert. The senior won the 110 in 15.18 and also won the 300 with a time of 39.9. In the lone distance race on the track on Saturday, Mac Staryk of Jackson beat Asefa Wetzel of Star Valley by a mere .25 of a second. His winning time was 4.22.51. We do have some video from Saturday's events. Take a look!
