Wyoming 4A Girls State Track Meet Day 2

Cheyenne Central is in position to repeat as 4A Girls state champions but they're going to have to hold off a host of schools to get that done on Saturday. Central has 58 points with Laramie 2nd with 51 while is 3rd with 48. University of Wyoming basketball signee Paige Powell from Cody won the high jump at 5-4. Last season, she competed for 1A Encampment and also won the state title in the high jump. Sheridan thrower Jordan Christensen prevailed in the shot put throwing 43 feet 9 inches. Laramies Abigail Whitman repeated as state champion in the 800 meters with a time of 2.18.73. Kate Brigham of Jackson was 2nd and Cheyenne Central's Claudia Miller was 3rd.
