Campbell County’s Garrett Herther Signs with Rocky Mt. for Football
Garrett Herther of Campbell County comes from an athletic family. His older brother Wyatt signed last year with the South Dakota School of Mines to play football, and Garrett has committed to the Rocky Mountain College football program in Montana.
At 6-3, 220 pounds, Herther was deployed at the tight end position, and that spot carries a lot of responsibility. Run blocking and pass protection are priorities, as well as catching the football. In the 2024 season. Campbell County was the #1 offense in 4A and the #1 passing offense, and Herther caught 20 balls for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns, earning All-Conference status. He also caught 20 balls in his junior year for 247 yards and 4 touchdowns, and saw some time on the defensive side of the line of scrimmage in his career.
Herther also plays soccer for the Camels in the back row on defense and has 2 assists so far this season. He also competed at the State Indoor Track Meet and finished 17th in the 4A shot put with a toss of 43-7.75.
Rocky Mountain College is located in Billings and is a NAIA institution that competes in the Frontier Conference.
