Green River golfer Isabell Salas has been remarkably consistent in her prep career and she has been near the top of the leaderboard at the last 4 State Tournaments in 3A. All that dedication has paid some dividends as she will continue her career on the links at Central Wyoming College from Riverton. If it weren't for Erika Cook of Lovell, Salas would have won 4 state championships but Salas finished a very respectable 2nd in each of those 4 years to Cook.

In her senior year, Salas shot 77 and 78 at the 3A State Tournament and finished 5 strokes behind Cook. In 2022, Salas was outstanding again carding rounds of 76 and 82, but was 2 strokes behind Cook for 1st place at the State Tournament.

Salas took 2nd at the 3A State Tourney in her sophomore season with rounds of 79-86, only to finish 2nd to Cook again.  Cook and Salas went 1-2 at the 2021 State Tournament with Salas shooting 77 in the first round and 86 in the 2nd.

Last summer, Salas competed in a couple of big national tournaments; the National High School Golf Invitational in Frisco, Texas, and the Girls Junior America's Cup in British Columbia. She hopes to one day play at the Division I level.
