The high school golf season around Wyoming is winding down.

Class 3A schools are at their conference championships. Class 4A schools have their state qualifying events this weekend, and some 2A teams will play one more regular season event.

The fifth week has teams in Afton, Gillette, Green River, Lusk, and Wheatland.

Thursday, Sept. 7:

3A East Conference Championship – at Wheatland G.C. – Buffalo, Douglas, Rawlins, Riverton, Torrington, Wheatland, Worland

Wheatland's Lily Nichols and Riverton's Parker Paxton have the lead after the first day.

Girls Team Scores Day 1 = Wheatland-274, Douglas-284, Riverton-318, Torrington-327.

4A East State Qualifier – at Bell Knob G.C. in Gillette – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Sheridan, Thunder Basin

Girls Team Scores through Day 1 = Sheridan 273, Thunder Basin 281, Cheyenne Central 291, Campbell County 296.

Boys Team Scores through Day 1 = Cheyenne East 314, Campbell County 317, Cheyenne Central 320, Thunder Basin 324, Sheridan 330, Cheyenne South 477.

Friday, Sept. 8:

3A East Conference Championship – at Wheatland G.C. – Buffalo, Douglas, Rawlins, Riverton, Torrington, Wheatland, Worland

Lily Nichols of Wheatland and Parker Paxton of Riverton were the conference champions in 2023. Wheatland won the girls' team championship, while Riverton took the boys' top team honors.

3A West Conference Championship – at Rolling Green C.C. in Green River – Cody, Evanston, Green River, Lander, Lovell, Lyman, Pinedale, Powell

Team Scores Girls = Evanston 274, Cody 287, Lander 299, Lovell 302, Green River 323.

Team Scores Boys = Evanston 302, Lander 316, Powell & Pinedale 331, Cody 338, Lovell 350, Green River 351, Lyman 396.

4A East State Qualifier – at Bell Knob G.C. in Gillette – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Sheridan, Thunder Basin

Sheridan's Gabi Wright and Thunder Basin's Bodie Williams won the qualifier. The Sheridan girls and Cheyenne East boys took home the team titles.

4A West State Qualifier – at Valli Vu Municipal G.C. in Afton – Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rock Springs, Star Valley

Kemmerer vs. Thermopolis – golf dual

Hayden Overfield of Thermopolis won the boys' medalist in a playoff. Kemmerer took the team title. Lily Johnson of Thermopolis grabbed the girls' top spot.

Saturday, Sept. 9:

3A West Conference Championship – at Rolling Green C.C. in Green River – Cody, Evanston, Green River, Lander, Lovell, Lyman, Pinedale, Powell

Erika Cook of Lovell and Ryker Lind of Evanston were the medalists. Evanston swept the team titles.

4A West State Qualifier – at Valli Vu Municipal G.C. in Afton – Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rock Springs, Star Valley

Madie Griffin of Kelly Walsh and Hayes Millham of Jackson won the individual honor. The Natrona County girls and Kelly Walsh boys won the team crowns.

Lusk Tigers Invitational – at Niobrara C.C. – Big Horn, Glenrock, Lusk, Moorcroft, Sundance, Ten Sleep, Tongue River, Upton, Wright

Upton's Ciarra Moore and Logan Timberman swept the medalist positions. The Sundance girls and Upton boys won the team titles.
