Normally, you wouldn't associate Harvard University in Boston for nordic skiing but yes the Crimson does have a team despite the fact  that Ivy League schools don't provide athletic scholarships. What they do provide is prestigious academic opportunties and Lander's Bennett Hutchison said yes to that. He won a couple of State Championships in Nordic skiing a the prep level and Harvard's nordic ski team placed 14th at the NCAA Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colorado this past March.

At the 2024 State Championships in Casper, Bennett placed 1st in the 5K freestyle in 13.16.09. He took 2nd in the 10K classic with a clocking of 28.42.57. His Lander team placed 2nd at the State Championships and Bennett led the All-State points catagory.

In his junior season, Hutchison was the freestyle State Champion with a time of 30.18.3 and 9th in the classic at 16.52.4. In the 2002 season, he was 8th in the classic and 9th in the freestyle at the State Championships and a freshman at the 2021 State Championships, Hutchison took 5th in the freestyle and 10th in classic.

He will be attending Harvard to major in Neuroscience.
