Wyoming high school tennis teams and players begin their postseason with the North and South Regional Tennis Championships Friday and Saturday.

The North Conference will compete in Casper in a weekend hosted by Kelly Walsh. The South Conference will play in Cheyenne for the two days, which is hosted by Cheyenne Central.

These two days of action on the hard courts determine the seeds for next weekend’s state tournament in Gillette.

The defending champions for the North are the Kelly Walsh girls and Jackson boys. The defending champions for the South are the Cheyenne Central girls and boys.

North Regional Tennis Championships in Casper, WY

Teams = Cody, Gillette, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Powell, Sheridan, and Thunder Basin

Venues = Casper Country Club, Washington Park, Beverly

Tennis matches will begin at 8 a.m. on both days.

South Regional Tennis Championships in Cheyenne, WY

Teams = Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Green River, Laramie, Rawlins, Rock Springs, and Torrington

Venues = Cheyenne Central High School, Cheyenne East High School, Cheyenne South High School, and Holiday Park

Tennis matches are scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. on both days.
