WyoPreps is looking back on the year that was with our review of champions from the past year.

The awards recognize exceptional leadership, commitment, and excellence in coaching.

Two decisions will have an impact on the future of high school sports in Wyoming, while no discussion on a third topic means the status quo remains.

Caroline Brokaw from Jackson, Cheyenne East’s Colin Crecelius, and Sheridan’s Eli Balkenbush were chosen as the recipients.

Both teams needed three sets to capture the title.

Smedley completed an undefeated season for her third title. Gulley captured the first tennis championship of his prep career.

Both won the first state title of their prep career, and both completed undefeated seasons.

All-State awards for tennis do not include a voting process. They are determined based on a player’s finish at the state tournament.

Play begins at 8 a.m. each day. Matches will be played at four venues in Gillette.

The 2025 Wyoming High School Tennis State Championships are Thursday through Saturday at four sites in Gillette. Action begins at 8 a.m. each day.
