Wind River's Aidan Ruby is a superb all-around athlete but rodeo is his game and will continue in that sport at the next level, signing with Sheridan College. Ruby finished 4th in the Wyoming high school bull riding standings, getting a spot in next month's National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs. This season, he placed first in the bull riding in both performances of the Riverton rodeo and also took first in the first session in Rock Springs and the 2nd session in Newcastle. Ruby was 2nd in 3 other performances across the state and that's not easy to do.

He also made a name for himself in wrestling for Wind River and took 2nd place at the 2A 2024 State Tournament at 132 pounds, finishing 20-6 on the year. In his junior season, he took 6th in the 2A 126-pound bracket with an overall record of 26-17. Back in his sophomore season, Ruby was 3rd in the 2A 120-pound group and won 30 matches and lost just 10 that season. He was 26-13 in his freshman year and was 4th at the 2A State Tournament at 113 pounds.

In football, Ruby played a big role in the Cougar's march to the 1A 9-Man State Championship Game. On defense for the season, he made 42 tackles with 3 fumble recoveries and caught 15 balls on offense for 306 yards and 5 touchdowns.
