The last regular season competition for downhill skiers is this weekend.

Alpine skiers are off to the Wind River Range.

Cross-country skiers are taking their last break of the 2023 season.

Alpine Skiing

The downhillers will compete in the Pinedale Invitational Alpine Ski Race.

Friday will be the GS or giant slalom race on the ‘Wind River’ run at White Pines Ski Resort. The race starts at 10 a.m.

Friday Results

Jackson's Annie Moll and Travis D'Amours won the GS races on Friday outside of Pinedale. Jackson has a solid lead in both divisions of the team standings.

Moll led the girls' division with a two-run combined time at 1:31.81. Teammates Taylor Smith and Madison Kramer rounded out the top three.

D'Amours topped the guys' field after two runs at a time of 1:26.72. Teammates Buck Milligan and Owen Janssen were second and third, respectively.

The slalom will be on Saturday on the ‘Sunnies’ Run. It also starts at 10 a.m.

Saturday Results

Lily Steinberg of Jackson won the girls' slalom race at a time of 54.76 seconds. Teammates Ceci Bruno and Annie Moll were second and third, respectively.

Travis D'Amours made it a weekend sweep with a win in the slalom on a two-run combined time of 48.63 seconds. Buck Milligan and Owen Janssen of Jackson placed second and third.

Girls Final Team Scores: Jackson 127, Natrona 90, Cody 48, Kelly Walsh 38, Pinedale 28, Laramie 11.

Boys Final Team Scores: Jackson 152, Natraon 83, Pinedale 50, Cody & Kelly Walsh 26, Laramie 5.

Pinedale is hosting skiers from Cody, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, and Natrona County.

Nordic Skiing

Nordic skiers do not have a competition this weekend. They are off until next weekend’s state championships in Jackson.
