Lander has been the standard bearer in 3A Boys' Swimming for close to three decades. On Friday in Gillette, the Tigers won their 29th straight State Championship and won six events. So needless to say, they were a factor in just about every event and have the depth to prove it.

Senior Finn Richards had a fantastic day to end his prep career with a win in the 50-meter freestyle in 21.11 and beat Thomas Everett of Buffalo by one, one-hundredths of a second. He followed that up with a victory in the 100 freestyle with a clocking of 46.07. Finn also anchored the Tigers State Championship 200 free relay team and the 400 free relay squad.

In his junior season, he won the 3A State Championship in the 100 free and a gold medal in the 400 free relay. We talked with Richards about his big day at the pool and competing on an incredible Lander swimming program.
