Ilyanna Haigler of Natrona Inks with Northern St. for Swimming
Ilyanna Haigler of Natrona was ready to move on from athletics and become just a regular student at Casper College. But after some consideration, she will continue her swimming career at the next level by attending Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
In her senior season, Haigler qualified for the State Tournament in 4 events, the 100 and 200 freestyle, plus the 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams. She was 15th in the prelims in the 200 and 20th in the 100, but both of her relay teams finished in the top 8 in the preliminary rounds. In the finals, the NC 200 Free Relay placed 9th in 1.50.29, and the 400 Free Relay was also 9th with a time of 4.00.19.
In 2024, Haigler competed at the State Meet in 4 events: the 100 backstroke, the 200 Free, the 200 IM Relay, and the 200 Free Relay.
