Sheridan’s Addie Pendergast Ends Prep Track Career on High Note
Sheridan's Addie Pendergast will go down as one of the finest athletes in the history of Wyoming Track and Field. Back in 2023, she was the 4A State champion in the 100,200 and 400-meter runs and placed 2nd in the 300 hurdles.
At the 2024 State Track Meet over the weekend in Casper, Pendergast set 2 4A, and overall records on Saturday with a 2nd place finish in the 100 meters and a 2nd place finish on Sheridan's 4x400 relay team. In the 300 hurdles, Pendergast dominated with a time of 42.69 for the gold medal, and that broke the overall state mark set by Natrona's Lauren Taubert back in 2016. Pendergast also dominated in the 400 with another 1st place finish with a 4A and overall record-setting time of 54.40, breaking the record that she set last year.
Sheridan won the 4A team title in track and Pendergast lent a helping hand in the Broncs 4A state championship run in basketball. She'll be attending Stanford University in the fall and we caught up with her on Saturday to chat about her record-breaking performances.
