Cole Rogers of Kemmerer Wins 4 Events in 2A State Track Meet
Kemmerer sophomore Cole Rogers was one of the stars of the 2025 State Track & Field Meet over the weekend as he rang up 40 points for his Ranger team in Class 2A. In the 300-meter hurdle prelims, he set the 2A record in 37.48. Rogers went on to win the gold medal in that event on Saturday in 37.89.
As it turned out, Rogers had an eventful day on Saturday, winning a total of four events. He took the 110-meter hurdles in 14.76, the 100-meter dash in 11.41, and the 400 with a clocking of 49.17. What was most striking was that Rogers is nearly flawless in the hurdles technique, and when you add speed to the mix, that makes him hard to beat.
Rogers ran indoor track for Mountain View, and at the 2025 3A State Meet, he took second in the 55-meter hurdles, third in the 200 meters, his 4x400 relay team placed third, and his 4x200-meter relay squad finished fourth.
We caught up with him on Saturday to share some thoughts about his superlative effort over the weekend.
