Jaden Meyer from Douglas had a sensational season running the hurdles in track and field, winning gold medals in both the 100 and 300-meter events at the 3A State Track Meet in Casper over the weekend. She took the 100 hurdles on Saturday in 14.92 and was right in the neighborhood of the 3A record held by Blakelee Binning of Torrington at 14.46.

Meyer posted a convincing win in the 3A 300 hurdles at 43.88 and once again was right in the vicinity of the class record of 43.27, held by Torrington's Diana Long. She also placed 4th in the long jump at 16-8 and anchored the Bearcats' winning 4x400 relay team to conclude the State Meet in 4.09.54. Needless to say, Meyer played a significant role in her team's 6th-place finish at the Outdoor Championships.

We talked with her about the hurdle races on Saturday, as she was a frequent visitor to the top of the podium.
