Wright’s Mili Meza Perdomo Enjoys Success at 2A State Track Meet
Mili Meza Perdomo has burst onto the track and field scene, and the Wright freshman had a fantastic State Meet in Casper last month. She won three events in Class 2A: the 100 hurdles in 16.00, the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.08, and the high jump with a leap of 5-1.
Perdomo beat Laynee Walker of Kemmerer, who was the defending 2A state champion in both hurdle events, so that wasn't easy to do. In addition to the individual efforts, Meza Perdomo ran the lead-off leg of Wright's state championship 4x100 relay team.
She competed for Thunder Basin in her first season on the Indoor track circuit and placed 3rd in the 4A High Jump at the State Meet at 5-2 and ran on the Bolts 1600 medley team that took 5th.
She's off to a great start in her track career, and she shared some thoughts on her victories in Casper.
