Sheridan's Callista Roush Signs with Black Hills St. for Track

Sheridan's Callista Roush started her prep athletic career on the soccer pitch and appeared in 18 matches with a goal and 3 assists in her sophomore year. Then she switched over to track and field and her efforts so far got her a spot at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota.

At the 2024 4A State Indoor Track Meet in Gillette, she placed 3rd in the triple jump at 35 feet 2 inches and 5th in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet 9 inches. Roush also competed in the 55-meter dash and placed 8th and ran on the Broncs 4x400 relay team which took 6th at State.

In her junior year at the 2023 State Outdoor Meet, Roush placed 11th in the 4A long jump and triple jump with marks of 15-9 and 33-2 respectively. Her 4x400 relay team placed 4th so she was busy at the State Meet.

Black Hills State is a Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
