Teagan Becker of Kelly Walsh Signs with UW for Track

Kelly Walsh track and field athlete Teagan Becker has been a consistent performer in the throwing events. She is the defending 4A Indoor State Champion in the shot-put with a toss of 42-7.5 and took 4th as a junior at the State Indoor Meet going 41-2.25. Those efforts earned her All-State status for the last 2 seasons and she has accepted an offer to compete for the University of Wyoming in the fall.

Becker earlier this year took 2nd in the shot-put at the prestigious Simplot games in Idaho going 40-10 and has thrown 43-85 so far this season in the event and has a season best of 126-2 in the discus.

At the 2023 4A State Outdoor Championships last May, Becker placed 3rd in the shot at 41-5.75 and 4th in the discus at 119 feet even. She'll be one of the favorites at this year's State Outdoor Meet in both throwing events.
