Josef Sanchez of Natrona Commits to Minot St. for Wrestling

Natrona County wrestler Josef Sanchez will be climbing the athletic ladder as he signed on with Minot State in North Dakota. In his senior year with the Mustangs, Sanchez advanced to the 4A championship match at 285 pounds and also finished 2nd at 285 at the big Ron Thon Tournament in Riverton. He finished the season 18-3.

Sanchez had a super-productive junior year with 34 wins and 14 losses, taking 4th place at the State 4A Tournament at 220 pounds. He placed 4th at the 2022 State Tournament at 182 pounds.

Sanchez also played football for NC with 33 tackles and a sack and a half on defense. Minot State is a Division II institution that competes in the Northern Sun Athletic Conference.
