The annual Miller Cup between the Kelly Walsh and Natrona boys wrestling teams on Thursday night has plenty of compelling matches with an enthusiastic crowd at the NC Gym. Kelly Walsh won the Miller Cup for the 2nd straight year, posting a 51-17 win over Natrona as the Trojans lost just 3 matches.

The 150-pound match-up between KW's William Alt and Natrona's Brodey Wilcox was the night's best match. Each guy turned in late reversals to send the match into overtime with Alt prevailing 13-10. These two guys had a lively match at the Ron Thon Tournament in Riverton, with Alt also winning that one.

The 157-pound match between KW's Joe Humphreys and NC's Gus Bertagnole was a classic as well with Humphreys winning in overtime 14-11 and trailed at one point in the match 7-0. The 115-pound match between KW's Maverick Gallup and NC's Brody Keith was entertaining as well with Gallup winning 13-12. The Trojans have been a formidable group this year with a solid 2nd-place finish at the Ron Thon so they will be a team to watch at the upcoming State Tournament.

For the girls, they were competing for the Sarah Tolin Memorial trophy and Kelly Walsh prevailed over Natrona 42-36. NC had a few open weights resulting in forfeits and KW posted wins at 130 pounds from Allison Kissack and Vivian Smith at 135. Natrona came up with 5 pins on the night, Charlie Wilkinson at 120, Bailey Mueller at 140, Kallie Bauer at 145, Bailey Booker at 150, and Marley Dickinson at 285 pounds.
