Nathan Fish of LFL/Southeast Captures 4th Wrestling Championship
Nathan Fish has enjoyed a memorable high school career in wrestling and never lost more than 5 matches in any given season. Fish, who wrestles for Lingle-Fort Laramie/Southeast, joined the elite 4-time Champions Circle with a victory over Haven Vrana of Upton in the 2A 120 pound final on Saturday in Casper. He finished the season with a record of 40-3 and posted 3 pins and a technical fall in the 2025 State Tournament.
Fish also won the 2A 120 pound Title last season too, beating Cannon Boren of Thermopolis in the Championship match and Boren by the way was this year's 2A State Champ at 132. Fish was systematic during that 2024 season, with 39 wins and just 2 losses.
Fish is one of the few, (maybe the only guy) to win a State Championship in wrestling for 2 different schools. As a freshman and sophomore, he competed for Lusk and won the 2023 2A Title at 120 pounds with 4 pins in the State Tournament. He finished that year at 41-2. In his freshman year in Lusk, he captured the 2A crown at 113 and beat Moorcroft's Bradynn Terry in the championship match 4-3 and Terry won the 2024 2A State Championship at 132. Fish was 47-5 that season and has been a technically sound wrestler in his entire prep career.
We had a chance to chat with Fish on Saturday in Casper and it took a lot of hard work to earn 4 State Championships.
