Pinedale senior Ryan Nutt has come a long way since his freshman year in high school wrestling and has 3 State Championships to prove it. Back in 2022, Nutt placed 4th at the 3A State Tournament at 106 pounds and asserted himself big time for the next 3 seasons.

Back on Saturday at the Ford Center in Casper, Nutt defeated William Wood of Cody in the 3A 126 pound final, 10-1 for his 3rd title and finished the weekend with 3 pins. He went an astounding 54-3 this season and went 48-5 in his junior year. In 2024, he pinned all 4 of his opponents at the State Tournament to win the 3A 120 pound title.

His first appearance on top of the podium was back in 2023 as he took home the hardware in the 3A 120 pound division. Nutt showed some fortitude in that State Tournament, knocking off Green River's Axel Mackinnon in the championship match 5-4.

We caught up with Nutt on Saturday night in Casper and he has displayed laser-like focus on his wrestling goals.
