The North team for the Shrine Bowl All-Star football team had a busy Wednesday with a pair of practices to gear up for Saturday afternoon's match-up with the South. The North has some skilled quarterbacks in Maddax Ball of Cody and Davin Crosby from Lovell. So this offense will certainly challenge the South defense.

Crosby is coming off a sensational senior year for Lovell as he was a 2A All-State selection at quarterback and for good reason. He threw 27 touchdown passes with just 4 interceptions, which is phenomenal, and he threw for 2274 yards, which ranked 1st in 2A. Crosby had 5 games in which he threw for over 300 yards and also made 76 tackles on defense with 5 picks. Crosby also played for Lovell's 2A State Championship basketball team.

The North has additional depth at quarterback with Keona Wisniewski of Powell, but he'll be stationed at the middle linebacker spot on defense for the Shrine Bowl. Wisniewski was a monster from that LB position with a whopping 95 tackles this past season, with 3 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries. In the North needs him on offense, he'll fit right in as Wisniewski threw for 1203 yards and 14 touchdowns and ran for 442 yards for the Panthers in 2024. He played basketball too, appearing in 15 games, averaging 10 points per contest.

We talked to both of these talented players during the course of the week, and they're going to take advantage of this great opportunity to play in the Shrine Bowl.
