It’s the defending champs against the only team that beat them last year. The Thunderbirds have the No. 2 offense that averages 445 yards per game. The Broncs counter with the No. 2 defense that allows only 274 yards per game. Can Sheridan slow down the East passing attack? Who will have the edge on special teams?

East head coach Chad Goff and Sheridan's head coach Jeff Mowry spoke to WyoPreps’ David Settle for a preview of this big game. Goff touched on playing in a big game, playing the best, executing their game plan, and knowing they will be better after playing Sheridan. Mowry liked how his team played against Thunder Basin last week, doesn’t mind a test against the best (like East), knows they’ll have to slow down the Thunderbirds’ offense, and doesn’t want to get in a shootout.

Sheridan leads the all-time series, 30-15, according to wyoming-football.com. The first meeting was in 1960. East has won the last three games by a combined 13 points.

The 46th game between the Broncs and the Thunderbirds is at 6 o’clock at Homer Scott Field in Sheridan.
