WyoPreps Spotlight: #1 East at #3 Thunder Basin [VIDEO]

A huge matchup in Class 4A football takes place in Gillette on Friday night with No. 1 Cheyenne East at No. 3 Thunder Basin.

Both teams are 2-0 and come off big road wins last week. The Thunderbirds won at Natrona, 33-7. The Bolts won at Rock Springs, 36-21.

This game features two of the top passing attacks in Class 4A with Thunder Basin first at 220 yards per game and East is third at 210 yards per game.

Some of the key players for the T-birds include QB Cam Hayes, WR/DB Garet Schlabs, RB/DB Drew Jackson, LB Ethan Brinkman, and WR/DB Dom Kaszas. For the Bolts, RB Nic Black, QB Alonso Aguilar, WR/DB Kayden LaFramboise, and LB Logan Loftus. That’s just naming a few.

WyoPreps spoke to both head coaches, Chad Goff of East and Trent Pikula from Thunder Basin before this game.
