As teams prepare to close out the regular season, 2 new #1's are on top of the polls, and some big games lie ahead this upcoming weekend.

4A Boys:

Gillette was knocked off of their undefeated perch last weekend, and out of the #1 ranking. Sheridan is now king of the mountain, after a pair of 0-0 ties last week. The Broncs have a chance to prove that they deserve their spot this Friday, when they travel to Campbell County. No doubt that the Camels will be looking to reclaim what was once theirs. Gillette is #2 and share that position with Laramie. Central has the biggest gripe the voters, because it was the Indians that beat Gillette, yet they drop a spot to #4. They'll try to make their argument on Saturday at Laramie. Meanwhile, Evanston is finally putting something together, and have done enough to swipe the #5 ranking.

3A Boys:

No change once again in the top 5 rankings, and the top 4 just got done battling each other. Jackson is still the unanimous #1, and got out of #3 Lander with a 2-1 win, after the Tigers accidentally scored on themselves in the final minute. Meanwhile #2 Buffalo and #4 Worland battled for 100 minutes, and accomplished nothing in a 0-0 draw. Star Valley maintains the #5 ranking. All 5 teams will take care of conference business this weekend, or early next week.

4A Girls:

It will be a battle this Friday in Cheyenne, when #2 Laramie visits #1 East, in what will probably the deciding factor on which team gets the #1 seed in the east regional tournament. #5 Central might still have a chance as well, but their recent tie vs. East might have done more harm than good for their regional seeding. The Lady Indians have to get a win Thursday at Laramie, to still maintain a slim chance of getting a first round bye at the east regional tournament. Meanwhile in the west, Green River moves up to #4, while Natrona holds at #3. The Fillies need only a win or a tie home vs. Kelly Walsh in the Casper Cup game on Thursday, to lock down the west #1 seed at the regional tournament. GR needs to win both of their games this week, and hope for a KW win, and then hope the tie-breakers go their way, in order to get the #1 seed for the west regional tournament. The Lady Wolves are assured of no worse than 2nd, if they win both of this weeks' games.

3A Girls:

Cody is back on top, and they got unfinished business to deal with this weekend. On Thursday, they travel to #5 Star Valley (SV won at Cody a few weeks ago), and then Friday the Fillies are at #2 Jackson. The Lady Broncs remember that 5-3 beating they received in Park County last month, and are hoping to return the favor. After dropping their first 2 games of the season last week, Lander drops to #3, while Buffalo moves ahead of Star Valley to #4.
